I need help deciding between the Vantrue Nexus 5S and the 70mai T800. If anyone has other suggestions, I am open.
I will be installing in a Range Rover with 5% tint from the driver's back, including the rear window. The driver and passenger windows are 15% tint, and the windshield is 50% tint with a 5% 7-inch strip at the top. I want it to record for a few seconds before any issue. I also want it to have some type of cloud upload. I know I am asking for a lot, but I am retired from transportation, so I am accustomed to a full-featured system. I don't care if the camera has a screen, as I want to be able to view from either my phone or my computer.

Vantrue's been having some issues with their cloud capabilities and have since pulled their LTE module. I'm not sure when they'll update it and make it available for sale again.

70mai has an LTE module for their T800, but its motion detection parking mode stinks, primarily due to their poorly implemented AI stuff, and so the delays with how long it takes after motion is detected (not before), can be excessive.

Getting a 3CH setup with good LTE is surprisingly tough.

The Thinkware U3000 Pro can do 3CH now, but you lose LTE in the process.

You can consider something like the Blackvue DR770X Box-3CH Pro. It's a little overpriced IMO for a 1080p dashcam, but it'll give you a 3CH setup with front/rear/interior, buffered parking recording to record before motion/impacts, and good cloud capabilities with their optional LTE module.

That delay is a concern; what happens 30 seconds prior to impact is most important. Not having LTE, with some type of cloud backup, seems archaic. I will check out the Blackvue, but you said it is 1080P, so I hate to buy something that has ten-year-old technology. Hopefully, someone will get those issues fixed soon.
Thank you for the input.

It'd be awesome to have a high end 3CH dashcam with great video quality, effective parking mode, and well implemented cloud capabilities. I've got that running with a mix of dashcams, but I still have yet to find a single off the shelf solution that ticks every box.

Based on my short research into BlackVue, it seems they have a far better overall setup. The downside being 1080p, and not 4k. The cost is a little on the high side, and that is before I add the cost of accessories.
About $600, plus data plan and cloud, $15 to $ 50 monthly. To upgrade to a decent-sized 512 GB SD card, another $200. $800 plus tax, then on going monthy fees, seems a little high, and this is for a 1080P.
I am thinking I need to lower my expectations, maybe do away with the interior cameras, and go with only front and rear. If I do that, what about my size view? Does anyone have suggestions?
