this may have been asked before but I tried the search and can't find answer.

which hz setting should I use 50hz or 60hz what are the differences ?

60 as you are in the USA and your mains power grid runs at 60 thus your lights flicker at 60Hz, if you are still using old technology lamps.

I doubt you will ever notice a difference but it ought to reduce the flickering when used under artificial lighting.

there's still plenty of lighting about that will cause issues, tunnels, underground car parks etc, set it wrong and you'll have no trouble noticing a problem
