Why hard wiring cable is 4m length? just 3m is not enough?

Does anybody know why hard wiring cable is 4m lenght? Is there any experienced short of hard wiring cable with 3m?

Regular length is 3.5 meters for the hardwire kit!

I ran cables to a common point at the rear side of the car. Also keep cables clear of curtain airbags. You need a bit extra cable length due to some camera positions in relation to power supply.

It's easier to cable tie a bit of extra cable out the way than having to add a bit of cable.

Some people have the fuse box in the centre of the dash, so need an extra meter to reach the A-pillar.
