Dash Cam
Several brands :)
After two weeks of daily use, it’s time to share my experience with the Wolfbox G900 TriPro "Bumper Version". A 3-channel mirror dashcam setup that stands out by offering an external front camera in addition to the camera mounted in the mirror unit. This unique configuration not only expands your field of view but also offers real safety benefits.
There is another version available. The cabin version has an interior camera instead of the bumper camera.

Build Quality

The overall quality feels solid and well thought out. The mirror display is bright and responsive, the UI is very easy to use, and cable lengths are generous enough for SUVs or trucks. I was especially impressed by the rugged build of the external front camera. It's made to survive all weather conditions and blends in neatly on the bumper or lower grille. The cable of the front camera is covered in a protective sleeving. It won't get cut in the engine bay.
Unlike most mirror dashcams with an integrated front lens that only show a view from inside the cabin, this version allows you to mount the camera outside, much lower and further forward. That makes a huge difference for visibility.

Safety Advantage

The external mounting position eliminates blind spots directly in front of the car. Something that the front lens of a traditional dashcam often misses due to their high placement behind the windshield. Especially in tight parking spaces, city driving, or when pulling up near low objects or curbs, the bumper-mounted front cam gives a true low-level perspective, acting almost like a front parking camera.
It will also be a very good option for off-roading.
Having this view available in the direct FOV while driving is a nice addition.
Depending on the car, the TriPro rear camera will show more in the rear camera than can be seen in the normal mirror.
It does reduce blind spots significantly!

I found myself relying on the front cam more than expected, especially during tight maneuvers or checking clearance in poorly lit areas.

Viewing options

In the menu, there are options to rotate and mirror both external cameras. It will always show what you want it to show. The TriPro also gives you the option to mirror the live view, but not the saved video.

The good:

  • External front cam adds safety
  • STARVIS sensors on the front
  • Solid build quality
  • Long cables for flexible mounting
  • Responsive touchscreen
  • Very good microphone quality
  • Front camera cable covered in protective sleeve
  • Screen can be turned off to use as a normal mirror
Criticism:
  • GPS is external
  • Installation takes more time with the external front camera
  • Bumper camera only 1080p

Final Thoughts

The G900 TriPro Bumper Version delivers useful features and added safety through its unique external front camera. This setup gives you better control of your car’s surroundings and fills a gap that many dashcams still have: the blind zone directly in front of the vehicle.
If you’re looking for a true triple channel system with a focus on visibility and practical design, not just specs on paper, the G900 TriPro Bumper Version is a strong contender.
