Yes, that chip is used in a lot of different brands.

Yeah, I was thinking that the 96650 was still in production. The switch to the GP chipset is simply a way to make the cams more cheaply disregarding any possible loss in performance because of that.

the changes they make are only ever about making things cheaper, I regularly get suppliers that look at me like I have two heads when I ask what better options are available
