The manufacture released new camera use same solution as SJ1000 named SJ2000.

close all NT96650 Solutions using Aptina AR0330 + Wdr

so they has close same picture quality. difference major in firmware and lens.

LS300W is a bit better but surprising how good the SJ1000 is with it's wide angle FOV and under $100 price.

LS300W is a bit better but surprising how good the SJ1000 is with it's wide angle FOV and under $100 price.

Daytime they both records almost same video quality, but SJ1000 has much wider lens angle ( I would say around 150 degree diagonal ) and with no distortion at the edges of the lens, which is crucial for data readings ( numberplates ), LS300W has much less angle ( about 110 degree diagonal ).
At night LS300W is about 10-15% better, but if taking into consideration that SJ1000 is -50% less in price vs LS300W, then SJ1000 no argue is very good package deal that can be used in many other placed than just a dash cam.

value for money this camera is very interesting, when compared with the GoPro Hero3 still makes it much more interesting. Double function car camera and action camera.

Grass was cut in the morning, it started drying, so it maybe look not that green as it would be before cutting, but from trees you can see green colour is correct ans sky is clue as it should be.

For sure this camera will not beat Hero 3, but price vs what you get its the best action / dash camera I know.

looks like great option for the price, I was originally hesitant since its not marketed as a dashcam. I like that you can mount it externally, which really opens up some new possibilities
