gs5000 fake

I bought a gs5000 on ebay and since the software didn"t funtion , I downloaded two diffrent ones that I found. They function fine, except the gps doesn't register. My question is in order for the gps to fuction, do I need to dicconect the "carcam GS5000 dvr"from the wipers and conected it to the pc? thanks

I have a 5000 GS and it has not been on and off the menu for the GPS, but can turn it on by doing a quick press on off button,
then please also enable ir
You also need to move one folder on the CD, n to pc, n
You can see that ir is enabled by the flash symbol.

Thanks,but I need to know if most to conect the "carcam GS5000 dvr" to pc for to see the gps or only the micro sd card in the pc with the software.
