Cansonic Ultradash Z4

The Cansonic Ultradash Z4 Standard is a 3-channel dash cam with a telephoto lens. Its front unit combines a wide-angle 4K camera with a separate 4K telephoto camera, while the rear camera records in 2K.

Overall video quality is good for the front cameras. The telephoto footage captues license plates well. It does have some mild “jelly” or wobble effect likely caused by the mount.

The Ultradash Z4 Standard is not the most discreet dash cam and rear camera video quality is not great. An ok dash cam if license plate capture is your priority.

Cansonic Ultradash Z4 (Standard) 3-Channel Dash Cam – First Impression

Cansonic was kind enough to allow me to try their newest Ultradash Z4 (Standard) 3-Channel Dash Cam which features Sony Starvis 2 678 sensors that can record dual 4K front and 2K rear. I have yet to install it in my vehicle – will try to get to it this weekend. Additional photos and sample videos will come after the install. Feel free to ask any questions and I'll try my best to answer them…
