Heat Issues?

I am not having any problems so far (with my new card), but when I check the base unit after a day in the car(hardwired) the bottom of it is scary hot, like i can only hold a finger on it for a second or so.

Normal? Its getting about 90 degrees in the afternoon these days

it's got a huge heatsink inside to dissipate heat, shouldn't cause any problems

Sounds good, I bet some airflow would do it good, but for now it stays in the glove box

mine stays directly on my dashboard with the sun shining on it for hours of heat while recording in parking mode. the main unit has been solid and very reliable. the lens mount on the other hand, that's very prone to heat issues causing it to go out of focus.

We should have a fix for anyone that has any focus shift issues soon, several big meetings happening this week. (will update, stand by)

Main unit works great even if left on the dash in the sun. (super caps / heat sink can take it)

Mine stays on the window and the temp is in the low 30C [Close to 95F]. It has no problem staying in focus etc. Also I never turn it off until the car is parked in the garage.
