Looks like we have a new release coming soon from Vantrue @Jeff_Vantrue , in the form of the S1 Pro Max. The follow-up to last year's S1 Pro.

We don't appear to have much news yet on the specifications of this model, but we do have some interesting information in regards to Vantrue Intelligence Feature. This is Vantrue's implementation of ADAS features (along with driver fatigue/driver alert/blind spot detection) to their dashcam line.

There does appear to be a new interior camera option, the RC08, that can be configured with the new S1 Pro Max and the older S1 Pro too. A new rear camera for the S1 Pro Max may also be in order, model number unknown.....as the waterproof RC07 made available last year now makes it's way to Vantrue's sibling model, the N4S.

More information on the Vantrue Intelligence Feature can be found here, and I will update this thread if any new information comes to light regarding the incoming S1 Pro Max: https://www.vantrue.com/pages/vantr...bGkJVqQQrnlynkVWU4BpzAw0uFH1qiay5l8xH7rnP_BQ8 & https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/threa...i-2-7k-front-and-1080p-rear.50655/post-641475

Is that a new rear camera on the S1 Pro Max?

ADAS feature in dash cam is interesting - though the ones I had before were more annoying than useful.

As for the rear camera, that definitely looks like a new design.

Agree. ADAS works marginally well when integrated in the vehicle but as an 'add-on' it's slightly better than a toy and, as you experienced, more annoying than anything else.

It does seem like it.

Yes, it is.
And from the data sheet the S1 Pro Max will be very promising. 🤫

But I think Vantrue needs to decide when to release more infos, don`t want to leak anything.
Will start a first test just for evaluation today or tomorrow.

I think this really depends A LOT on the road-conditions you drive.
On my test track, not even the build in functions of the car-manufacturers work. I have several points on my country-road-test-track where even the car itself is afraid that I hit something.
It would be really surprising if a dashcam can do that better.

The last dashcam I tested (Vueroid) was on a level of annoyment, that I was thinking about throwing it out of the window.
At least that works.
But it get`s difficult when you would like to throw the car out of the window when you are currently sitting in it.

But to be honest, I didn`t tested yet. Maybe Vantrue will do a good job, we need to see. 🙂

Seems like we will have some interesting releases in the next months.

Agreed. ADAS works decently well in my vehicle because it's in built, you can question it's usefulness but it does actually work reliably most of the time. ADAS on dashcams is a different story altogether because it doesn't have all the sensors that one needs to make it work reliably.

Vantrue had a busy rest of the year it seems, let's see what's ahead 🙂

Indeed, I’d rather have more processor bandwidth used for video quality and higher resolution that on ADAS (that I find annoying at best…)

ADAS can be useful in vehicles but I agree most of it is annoying and it's usefulness can be questioned. The problem is that at the moment such features in dashcams are nowhere near what is in vehicles unless they build in the additional sensors, and integration with the vehicle itself. Until that happens I feel its more of a gimmick

ok so many.......
it should buy front and rear together?

idont need rear

the first bsd
waterproof rear?
It could be. It looks different to the RC08 but the mount makes it look waterproof so I would assume so!

Maybe even a new 4k sensor.....

Likely it will have cloud
