I noticed that the option for super night vision with 1fps time lapse appears to be missing when selecting hybrid parking mode. I assume this is an oversight?

My best guess - are you running the latest firmware? Assuming A329S: V1.2_250708

EDIT: From the manual online:

③ Time Lapse Recording
Time lapse records a video at low frames at 1 / 2 /
3 / 5 / 10 fps, it keeps recording continuously
without audio recorded.
Timelapse 1 fps mode supports SNV (Super Night
Vision) option, which can provide brighter and
clearer night vision in extreme low light conditions,
with lower power consumption.

The coming V2.0 version will support this.
Thanks for confirming.

I have noticed another issue/bug. When using the HK6 hardwire kit, it will still cut power once the voltage drops to 11.8V even if it is set not to do so in the dash cam settings. I use a Cellink battery pack, so I don't want it to ever cut power. I want it to record for the set period, and then switch to LPID until the battery pack runs out of power. Would it be possible to add a setting that prevents the HK6 cable from cutting power?

This is interesting and a good point…I’ve been wondering what the situation on this would be….
Apparently, Viofo will be shipping a different hardwire cable with their upcoming BP-100 battery, which omits the voltage level slider and so would allow a dedicated battery to fully discharge and use its complete capacity, as you would logically want….
But how you are supposed to use the HK6 and ensure the full battery capacity is used, doesn’t seem clear….I presumed making the ‘Time’ setting on the camera would have been the way to go and take priority, even if that time was beyond what the battery could supply….But it sounds like the voltage level selected on the physical HK6 switch is taking precedence…?

I have it set to hybrid mode, with 12 hours of LBR then switch the LPID. This works, however when the voltage drops it turns the dash cam off even through it is set not to do so in the settings. Battery pack is a Neo 6 with a Neo 7+ expansion added. I normally come out in the morning after it has been recording overnight to find the camera is switched off and the battery pack is still on 25% (or in some cases more). It seems that the slider on the HK6 overrules whatever settings are in the dash cam, which I would prefer it not to do in my specific use case. An option to prevent this behaviour would be ideal.

As would presumably most users with dedicated battery set-ups….
Leaving behind 25%+ unused on the battery seems a bit silly and sub-optimal….

Hopefully it should be a simple setting tweak via firmware…If the camera is clever enough to read the voltage via BT, then perhaps an override to ignore this could be added for users with external batteries….

When hybrid parking mode is used and the dash camera is powered by the HK6, the voltage cutoff value set in the dash camera settings is used to switch from the "traditional parking mode" [Auto Event Detection, Time-Lapse, Low Bitrate] to LPID mode. The slide switch voltage setting on the HK6 is when the HK6 will turn off the power to the dash camera. The current version of the HK6 has no way to disable the HK6's low voltage cutoff setting [slide switch].

The HK6 is a physical switch with 4No cutoff voltage settings. There is no 5th option for no-cutoff. Therefore the HK6 will always cut the power supply to the camera when the selected cutoff is reached, no matter what option is chosen within the dashcam settings. In that respect it is no different to the previous HK3 and HK4 hardwire kits.

We will have to wait for a different hardwire kit from Viofo to be able to use the full capacity of a dedicated dashcam battery. Due to the new HK design with the plugs it should be a simple operation to unplug the HK6 and replace it with whatever new model comes along.

This is exactly why I requested a 5th setting on the HK6 in addition to 11.8V / 12.0V / 12.2V / 12.4V Cut-Off voltages.
The 5th setting would be “OFF” to completely disable low voltage cut-off for customers who use a dash cam battery packs.
But, I guess it is not possible.

Why is it impossible?
I can't find a post describing the HK4 with this feature:
The 5th setting would be “OFF” to completely disable low voltage cut-off for customers who use a dash cam battery packs.
But I know for sure that such a post exists.
And I even have an HK4 like that.

Makes total sense…Unlike the current situation where the battery still has useable voltage when the camera shuts down via the HK6….

So I believe there’s new hardwire cable which is going to be supplied with the BP-100, which prevents this issue – think it was one of your videos or pics that highlighted it….It would make sense for Viofo to offer this as a standalone hardwire cable option perhaps…or as you’ve suggested, modify the module and slider on the HK6 to prevent the physical voltage cut off….

We have a customized version that doesn't have a cut-off option, you can ask our support to get one or replace it.

That’s good to hear….So a different module that swaps in at the removable plugs in the HK6..?

Just to say though, why not make it generally available/option for the HK6 on the website..? There must be lots of dedicated battery users that this would be useful for….

Just for clarity, this is the HK6 cable with a customised version? I am in the UK, should I just email info@ViofoUK.co.uk to obtain a replacement that does not cut power?
