Great Hardware, Missed Software Potential

Hey, I’ve been using my dashcam for about a month now. It’s good, but there’s nothing special tbh. I was really excited about the hybrid recording parking mode, but later I discovered that its only available in the A329 series.

I think the A119M Pro is a solid 1ch dashcam option, and since it’s not on the cheaper side, it should at least have some of the A329 series features, such as hybrid recording mode, impact notifications (if anything happened while parked), and the ability to set voice notifications to only critical alerts.
Also, since the GPS module was improved (I think it’s the same as the A329 series), I really don’t see why geo-fencing mode is not included on the A119M Pro. I just knew about geo-fencing feature and I don’t know much about it yet, but it really should be seamless and triggered to stop parking mode when car is turned off on a specific zone.

At the moment, the dashcam feels underwhelming because it has the potential to be significantly better with just a few software improvements.

this dashcam has the hardware to be great a few smart software updates could easily unlock its full potential. @VIOFO-Support please do it

Thats cooool, will the upcoming impact detection mode will include the impact detection notifications?

what about the critical only voice notification? I really see it complement the upcoming features.

Not too far, we are working to update the A119M Pro with a new SDK.

We see that the geofencing feature has been delivered, which is a good thing. Should we wait for the hybrid parking mode, or is it not going to be delivered? Also, I think the critical-only voice notification is an important feature for any dashcam, and the 300 series already has it. I hope it gets added to the A119M Pro alongside hybrid parking mode.
