As per the title, I'm looking for a small, discreet, unobtrusive camera for a Mk3 TT ideally with parking recording. I'm not worried about a screen as long as I can connect the camera to a phone, the main thing for me is a mixture or discreteness, quality and reliability.

The FITCAMX dash cam looks to be perfect on paper (4K, parking and an OE design), but I have serious concerns as to whether it can actually perform as advertised.

Any feedback on this camera or alternative suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

I've recently been going through the tribulations of replacing a Thinkware Q850 - which as a front facing camera has been fine, only the resolution of the rear camera is lower than I'd like, it is reasonably small, good quality image and hasn't been a moments bother.
Everything I've read about the FITCAMX suggests aspiration exceeds reality.

Neither Mangoal nor FITCAMX is well represented here. There is a link for a BMW user who has the FITCAMX on their Z4 convertible but would also have liked a rear camera due to a traffic incident.

FITCAMC on BMW Z4

There is a TT forum for UK drivers, you may be aware of it, if not here is the link:

A well-respected member here had an issue with a Mangoal unit on his car, but the car was not an Audi. Your experience could very well be different, but, I would hunt around on the TTforum and ask about the experience of other users.

Mangoal Audi

There are several small dashcams from various companies, most of them of good quality. It depends on whether you want Front, Rear, and Interior cameras or only a front camera, and on what features you expect, as to what you purchase. I would say to look for Starvis 2 dashcams that offer a 4K image.

If you are not in a hurry, you could wait and see what the new year brings. I know that Vueroid will be offering some new arrangements sometime after the first of the year.

Never heard of Mangoal but it looks almost identical to the FITCAMX.
I'm a member of the TT Forum here in the UK and there's a gut from the US who posted a positive post about the FITCAMX. He posted a video of a golf ball hitting his windscreen and the quality was amazing but I was wondering if it was a real video or a scam video.

I have no facility for a rest camera so am just looking for front facing , good quality with parking protection

Yep, Thinkware Q850.
my last 2 dascams have been Thnkware (F770 & U1000) and tbh I haven't rated the quality of the footage at all. its terrible when compared to my old GoPro hero 6. Their customer service is quite good though.

Unless you find something horrid about the FITCAMX, I would say to give it a try; however, I did not see where it provided parking protection, but I did not look too deeply. I did not see it listed on amazon.co.uk, so I'm not sure where to purchase it other than from the manufacturer itself. Go for the 4K version if possible. No idea what CMOS sensor they are using, though. From this link, it looks like there are positive reviews posted for the Audi setup.

FITCAMX for Audi

Looks to be on sale at the moment.
