    Manually protecting recordings in LS300W

I have only separate folders for each day. It doesn't create folders for protected videos. I set mine to 2-minutes segments. I can try 3 minutes and see if that changes anything.

    Manually protecting recordings in LS300W

Unfortunately this function doesn't work. When I push MENU button I have little lock symbol displayed on the screen, but video is protected only if I delete all videos from camera. It does not protect it from over-recording. When I am at work, recording for 12 hours, and trying to protect...

    Manually protecting recordings in LS300W

No problem, I found it anyway. :D What is the "DOD website"? Do they have manual for that thing? Can I have a link?

    Manually protecting recordings in LS300W

I think I found it. :) Pressing MENU button during recording will display little lock in the left lower corner of the screen and when I try to delete this file, it tells me it is protected. I assume it also will be protected when automatic recording will overwrite earlier videos.

    Manually protecting recordings in LS300W

I wish that too, specially that I bought this unit to record movies for my YT channel. Pushing MODE button only mutes audio recording. If I knew that before I bought it, I would buy different unit. :( Is that any hope that it will be changed with future updates?

    Manually protecting recordings in LS300W

Re: Manually protectin recordings in LS300W How long is "long"? Couple of seconds? Will that automatically save my last few minutes of recording? How many? But that is rather difficult to do when I'm driving, and after few hours I will not remember which exactly file I needed to save. BTW...

    Manually protecting recordings in LS300W

How can I manually protect recordings of LS300W? Let say I record something interesting on the highway I'd like to publish on YouTube. How can I save that file? Is it easier If I am on 5 minutes loop recording, or with "Loop Off"?

    Mount for truck/bus

I just received mine cam, it has software version "LS300W 130717EN10 E03". Is it the newest version, or does it need upgrade?

    Mount for truck/bus

I certainly will post on this forum video from my cam, as soon as I receive it. Is it possible to download/upgrade new software to this cam (GT300W)? How that is done? By connecting USB cable to laptop? I also like to know how to save video? I understand that in normal operation cam is...

    Mount for truck/bus

Thanks, Niko. I think I will go with your first recommendation, GT300W. I don't really need GPS - I will use this cam only to protect myself in case of accident and to record interesting things to make movies on my YT channel. I hope GT300W will be a good choice for that purpose.

    Mount for truck/bus

What is the difference between LS300W and LS400W? I need to move this cam every day, that why I think suction cup is the only option.

    Mount for truck/bus

I apologize then. For some reason I was under the impression that Niko is a seller of that equipment. What do you think by "can be adopted to use with suction mount for trucks"? Do I need to buy it separately?

    Mount for truck/bus

Thank you for the info, however I understand, that you have an interest in selling that product. I'd love to have some help from someone who is not selling product he recommends. I have no way to check how valid is your opinion. You may be right, it may be the best cam, but I don't know that.

    Mount for truck/bus

I am a truck driver and I drive different truck every day. I need dash cam which has: 1. Suction cup mount - must be easy to set up. 2. Can be mounted on almost vertical windshield. 3. Is not very sensitive in shaky situation - trucks have quite harsh suspension. I need something with 1080...
