I have a Mini 803 and Mini 805. Both died within a week of each other, with the 803 being several years older. They collectively managed to survive about 3 summers in hot Southern California (120F+). The battery performance was never very good.
I am looking for a dash cam that is truly hard wired to the vehicle, like a stereo is (I am unsure why more dash cams are not set up this way). It should have a battery + connection, an ignition connection, and a ground.
I'd like to spend less than $150. I have only come across a couple of cameras with this setup and they did not review very well or were very expensive.
I see this as a close match. https://www.amazon.com/gp/B01LX7ULS2
I might bump my budget to $200 if there is a good product worthy of my money.
Can you offer any help? Thank you!
As a thank you, I offer you two videos shot with my 803, both are me in my vehicle:
