Vantrue T800 Electric Air Duster (not a Dashcam)

After releasing their jump starter last year, Vantrue just dropped another non-dashcam product.
It’s called the T800. Not to be confused with a certain dashcam with the same name.

This one’s an electric air duster with three speed levels, USB-C charging, and a claimed pressure level that's enough to make your vents and keyboard feel like they've gone through a hurricane.
It should fit nicely in a garage kit alongside a jump starter or dashcam to help out in various situations. Not what I expected from Vantrue, but fitting. A practical tool for drivers.

They claim to blow their competition away.

Additionally, Vantrue becomes the second orange dashcam brand to introduce these.
Coincidence? Maybe.
But hey, if the next one releases a vacuum cleaner, I’m officially starting a bingo card. 🤣

Perfect - a mini leaf blower for my car windscreen. Might use it to blow away the cobwebs on the side mirrors (can't catch the culprit after many weeks of trying).

You'r going to have to hold onto that, it has enough blowing power to lift its own weight, and being rechargeable, it is not held down by a cable!

After seeing the thread started by @Julian23, I purchased a Vantrue T800 Compressed Air Duster for my daughter. While she's away at school, she parks her car under a set of trees that drop lots of leaves in the fall. She gets annoyed that the leaves collect at on her windshield and get tangled up in the wiper arms, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to play with another product from @Jeff_Vantrue and the team at Vantrue. As an added bonus, it just so happened that Amazon was offering it at a 30% discount, so I was able to pick it up for about $70 and free...

With big claims of a high output, I also had to get the T800.🙂

Here are some pictures:
The T800 is delivered in a foam cutout. The lid also has foam to protect it.

The T800 only includes one nozzle and a charging cable. Maybe we will see more attachments in the future.

The mode switch will also turn off the T800. The T800 will automatically shut down if not used for a certain time.
On the high setting, the button has to be pressed all the time. Otherwise, it will shut off.
With low and medium, one click will enable it, another one will disable it.

Vantrue also offers 18 months of warranty for the T800. This might be interesting to some users.

The T800 has the same high-quality haptic feel as Vantrue dashcams.

After I tried all the settings, I have to say that it has a lot more punch than expected.
It will come in handy to blow dirt out of the car or tight areas. If the car is coated, it will also dry the car.
The T800 will be useful all around the household, cars, etc.
I will try to make a quick video if I have time.

That’s a great idea! I never thought of that - all of our cars are coated. What a perfect use for those frequent car washes! I gave the first one to my daughter, she's away at school. Might have to pick up another one...

Obviously yes. 😂

It really is. Especially with a coated paint the water gets blown away. Also gets all the water out of the panel gaps. I like it.

They should do a version with a gentle heater, for defrosting/demisting your windshield on cold mornings, and removing 3M sticky pads...

I'm tempted to buy one of these to try and blow a spider out from wherever it's hiding in the panel gaps around my side mirror. I've tried a jetwash and can't seem to get rid of it. I've been brushing away cobwebs every day for months!

Blowing leafs and drying the car is fun and everything but not something that can measure the performance.
I just did some measurements with the T800 and the Wolfbox MF100. @Augustus

Size:

Weight:

To measure the output, I let them both blow onto the scale.
Both units were fully charged and cooled down 30 min after charging.
Results are in gram.

The T800 is obviously much more powerful. Size does matter. 🤣

I also measured the noise in 50cm distance, behind the air duster. (Where the user normally is)
Measured indoors, db meter was set to max hold.
Result is in dB(A)

Medium Speed	81.7dB	84.1db
High Speed	91.3dB	89.3

T800 max dB:

MF 100 max dB

For my ears the T800 is slightly less annoying. With the bigger impeller, its not as high pitched as the MF100
If you want the maximum performance, the T800 it is. The small MF100 still performs good. Maybe we will see a bigger brother soon?

Nice analysis, Julian! I don't have another unit to compare to and I only had a day or two to play with it before my daughter took it back to school 400 miles away... But now that it's been pointed out that it works well for drying coated cars, I might need to get another one for myself...

That's quite the industrious little bugger, huh? Funny that it's been able to evade your efforts for such a long time.
