New BlackVue DR750X PLUS Series Full HD Cloud Dashcam Now Available

Unfortunately, it's not possible to use your old rear camera. Blackvue talks about it on their blog and blackboxmycar confirmed it via email. https://blackvue.com/dr750x-plus-cables-and-accessories-compatibility-faq/

    Which brand 128GB for DR750-2ch?

It makes sense. Unless it’s the owner, whoever is working as front staff isn’t making enough $ to research memory card architecture. Especially now with “3d” chips.. 3D TLC nand should be more realiable than the old MLC. It doesn’t help either that most manufacturers don’t release information...

    Wifi problems.

Out of curiosity, what does WCP stand for?

    Wifi problems.

Before the latest firmware, one of my units used to have wonky wifi and say the password was incorrect when trying to connect from the car. The solution was to turn wifi off and then back on again on the camera and it would work. Now with the latest firmware - I’ll only get the incorrect...

    Wifi problems.

If you want to try one last thing to make sure it's not software related, format the card and re-install a fresh version of the firmware from your computer - not from the dashcam Here are the instructions...

    Wifi problems.

Yeah, that's bizarre. I would take it back to the shop if under warranty. With the older firmwares, wifi used to be wonky on one of my units (I've got two). Now it connects every single time.

    Which brand 128GB for DR750-2ch?

I strongly recommend buying a 3D MLC card for reliability. The one I use is made by ADATA and is called Premier One 128GB I bought it in Sept 2017 and it's still going strong. 0 issues of any kind. Lifetime warranty as well $103USD with free shipping worldwide from this website...

    Wifi problems.

Mine does this if I'm too far away from the dashcam (iPhone 6s). Ever since upgrading the firmware to 1.013, there hasn't been any issues connecting to wifi from the car. From the house, I'll get the incorrect password message.

Toyota Canada Announces a Branded Dash Cam

Pretty cool to see the car manufacturers interested in dashcams. First BMW released a unit made by a 3rd party and now Toyota. I wonder if Toyota makes this themselves?

    SD Card

If you're looking for a higher capacity Sandisk since you know they work, Amazon ships worldwide with their "global shipping" and you won't have to pay taxes or duties upon delivery. They take care of that in advance. The latest version of Sandisk's Extreme Plus 128GB (rumoured to be 3D TLC...

    Wasted Money.

Our friend here would still have the same issue with both those manufacturers if he purchased outside the authorized sales network. Thinkware: "Warranty will only be honored on goods purchased from an authorized reseller in the same country of purchase."...

    Wasted Money.

It's impossible for you to take responsibility for the mistake of waiting too long to deal with a defective unit. It failed two weeks after receiving it so 100%, you got a defective unit. Every company has defective units, even Apple with their new iPhone X.. So then you tried to get support...

Warning. Be careful about buying BlackVue products.

Dude, really? You wrote: If it worked for only two weeks, then it's a defective unit. Every company has quality control problems. If you knew it had a problem, you do something about it. Not deflect on others.

    Wasted Money.

I posted some of this on your other thread but your disagreement is with the vendor you purchased from: OpenSky.com, not Blackvue. I bought mine from Blackboxmycar and the support has been nothing short of stellar. Same day responses via email, shipping labels and follow-up with the...

Warning. Be careful about buying BlackVue products.

An employee of Blackvue posted today on their sub-forum here on dashcamtalk..... Your issue is that you purchased a defective unit from an un-authorized vendor. Plenty of authorized vendors are around that offer stellar support like Blackboxmycar. I see they tried to help you on another thread...

    BlackVue DR750S-2CH

I had the exact same problem with a brand new DR750S-2CH. I re-flashed the original firmware and now everything works great. Parking mode will only record when there's motion (set to 4). https://www.blackvue.com/downloads/ I did it through the iOS app, seemed like the easiest way: 1) Select...

Anker Roav DashCam C1 Video Review

I don't get it. You purchased brand new SD cards because the dashcam was locking files it thought were possible collisions? or did you buy new SD cards because they wore out from rewrites? Maybe the wiring for the C2 is the same as the C1. Email Anker and kindly ask if you can be upgraded to...

Anker Roav DashCam C1 Video Review

Some of these comments are kind of harsh considering it's their first try at a dashcam. Also, their pricing is 1/3rd of what Blackvue charges for a similar model with WiFi so expecting the same build quality or functionality as the higher end models is a bit much. A good comparison would be the...
