Manipulating the video is very rare. Actually, this is the first encounter I have had with this. I really just want a nice Player to do the viewing and zooming if ever necessary. I have no problem going through some additional steps to create something like what I am wanting right now. VLC...
It makes perfect sense. And I appreciate the detailed response and, especially, your diligence to assist me.
I am still baffled that with the plethora of software options out there, this can't be done easier. You mentioned that the "zoom" capability of the Blacksys player was less than...
Thanks @Gibson99
I admit to being clueless(to some degree) when it comes to video files, compression, etc... I can't figure this out either. I'll try the previous version and tinker with it a little more tomorrow.
I am using winRAR to decompress the files. Maybe I'll try 7zip...just in case...
ActiveX Filtering is NOT checked. I don't use IE either...only Chrome
I went ahead and disabled IE's popup blocker, even though I can't imagine that would cause this.
I think I am doing this right, but I am still encountering an error. At least it's not the loop I was getting in before.
Here are the two roadblocks that I am encountering...
I have a 64-bit machine, but I installed the "32-bit static" per the instructions. I extracted only ffmpeg.exe and...
I tried vlc and it opens a second(3d) window. That works OK, but I found the whole process kinda clunky. I may have to revisit vlc and see if I can make it work. A straight-forward PiP option with the ability to swap, frame and zoom easily would be great.
I think my monitor is ful HD.
That is my only complaint...the zoom part. I don't use that feature very often, but it looks horrible when I do. So, you are saying there is a better software to be able to view the front and/or rear channels that has excellent zoom?
I use the rear camera for in-cabin view, I am a rideshare...
Maybe I'm just a novice, but it seems so odd to me that I can't find a simple solution to do what I want to do.
I like the cf-100 player, but I can't switch the channels so that I can view the interior channel as the main and the front as small PIP with audio. Much less record it that way.
I will try this tomorrow, for sure. I may even get a screen recording of what's happening or of me going from start to finish. It's pretty quick and easy to setup
I am having a tough time with this. I have followed the instructions and when I open the video splitter script, my computer goes into a loop of "you did not select ffmpeg.exe". And asks if I want to continue to run scripts on this page. May have something to do with Windows 10?
I have the...
It seems to be the card. I went and bought one locally and it is working fine. Returning to Amazon as defective.
Thanks for the help. Now I just need to figure out how to go back to English after the firmware update. I keep the volume down, so no real issue there.
I have purchased a 64g card and formatted it as FAT32. When I place it in the camera, I do not get any recordings, but the LOST.DIR has files in it.
Also, it seems to wipe the .cfg file. When I mount the card in the player, the settings that I configured are all back to default.
Anyone...
I am not very familiar with tweaking VLC. Any advice on how to play both channels sbs?
I cannot get any controls(play, frame, pause, etc...) for the rear channel and they seem to come up full screen.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks. I was able to get it positioned with only a few tries. It would be really neat if there were a cable that connected from the video out to a microUSB on my phone for real-time or file playback.
Thanks for the quick reply!
