Auto start and auto stop can be done modifying the camera with wires... there are a "guide" here on this forum......

Take a look on the app settings or use the search before post... Xiaomi Yi has loop recording mode, you only need to open the app and search on settings section...

It's possible that stretched 1280x960 60fps to 1920x1080 has better quality than stretched 1600x1200 60fps to 1920x1080?? I'm obtaining better results with the first one...

From the app, format the SD (it do it as exfat), so... no limit on the file size... Yicam cuts the videos every 2 gb, but there are some scripts on the forum to modify that parameter (mine cuts every 4gb)... Use the search and you will find it....
