Mine is a prototype. Yeah, you could be right regarding of the memory. The August Firmware is best for me too, however I noticed a slower GPS lock and sometimes, in a low light condition, a grainy footage. These I did not notice with the earlier firmwares.

I have the same issues with FIRMWARE_20170829. Before, I did not notice it. It is randomly happening, only in low light conditions. It is not related to the viewer/player I guess, because it is same in LAN player, Registrator Viewer, rdCAMPlayer, DashcamViewer and in Movavi too

I`ve upgraded to this firmware (FIRMWARE_20171101). - The Dashcam is freezing or not recording at all - The buttons are reacting slow or not reacting at all, including the Power button I rolled back to the FIRMWARE_20170829. Attached, please find the Novatek log

I can imagine the "Format Card" or some "Total Reset" as combination of few buttons pressed together, for example Power Button+Button Up+Button Down.

Yes, that`s correct. The GPS module cannot lock any satellite. Try it outside of the car or house to determine is it working at all.
