Is it a card that looks like this? With the latest firmwares and highest video quality these cards doesn't work well. I've tried the 64GB version and the black version (128GB) and the dashcam kept restarting constantly. What firmware are you using, and what video quality setting?

But why doesn't the FPS-reduction result in a lower bitrate? Is the bitrate fixed, resulting in less video compression?

I use the Phone-app to get the videos that I need. A bit slow, but it is easier than taking the SD-card in and out all the time.

The reason people get the problem is because of the increased video bitrate in newer firmwares. SD-cards that worked with older firmware now can't keep up. So either buy a better card or reduce video quality to match the old bitrates.

It is completely normal that it takes 5 minutes to switch to parking mode. It says so in the manual. ;)

I got the same problem after I updated. The problem was the SD-card. If you run 2.005 or later they've upgraded the video quality. It is now 10Mbit instead of 6Mbit (v2.x) or 8Mbit (v1.x) if you set the video quality to "highest". My SanDisk SD-card couldn't handle that. Now I use a better...

The motion detection is probably the answer. I have my car in a garage, and if I have turned the motion detection to 20-30 it will record if my neighbor opens his garage due to the light changes in the image.

They've upped the bitrate to 10Mbit in 2.005 (I thought it was 2.007). And it is higher than the 8Mbit that was maximum for v1.x firmware. One could turn down quality, but I'd rather have better video and spend a few $$ on a micro SD-card. :)

I believe the bitrate in 2.007 is much higher than in previous firmwares. So I would guess its your card that is the problem. It simply can't keep up with the higher dataflow. I've tried my new card now for a while and have had none problems whatsoever.
