I would still say it is crap and thus not working properly. The autostart requires the usb-adapter that came with the cam for best operation. But I don't think you have changed the cable so that should not be the problem. There are settings in the menu on how to act when there is power etc but...

The heating chips are behind the screen facing the back of the screen so you would have to drill holes to the screen or get rid of the screen in order to install those heatsinks. So this one is not going to be a working solution. See the photos some messages up.

The problem(s) might not be only overheating as I have problems turning gs8000 on in a garage with reasonable temperature. The flickering screen could be some poor soldering and that all related to everything.

if there is some freezing or random shutdowns related to problems then there is no solution. It is just the poor quality of gs8000. As stated, crap. No response from Foxoffer either.

Don't buy the GS8000 as it is sort of total crap. Of course the ones on the forum are the ones complaining but there doesn't seem to be one single happy customer here. Overheating and freezing every time in 5-20 minutes as stated previously. And from another thread a video proof...

Still: DO NOT BUY It seems it cannot stand the heat as after the cam was on in a stationary warm vehicle the screen did show some horizontal lines and the osd freeze. I let it run out of battery as I had no "reset button" at hand. Worth ~$50 in my opinion with all the flaws.

If you choose the "file" -> "download" option you should get the original ~357MB file. I am not sure how the download works on Google Drive. That is how the download should work in Drive.

Sure. It just is not the option for me as I need to move switch this from car to another time to time. I need to figure out a some custom option. Maybe print a custom part to fix all parts together.
