a118c 12v

Hi All, I just bought an A118C, and it was working fine, however I made the mistake of trying to power it from my fuse box instead of the car lighter adapter... I snipped off the adapter, and connected the bare wires to one of the fuses (which had 12V on ignition) and grounded the other wire...
