Hello everyone,

I recently saw a terrifying near-miss video recorded in Turkey (Kuzey Marmara Highway) that caught my eye, not just for the dangerous driving, but for the unique features displayed on the dashcam footage.

Please note: This video is NOT mine. I am only sharing the footage to inquire about the specific camera features.

The system in the video displays two very distinct and non-standard data overlays:

  1. Custom Vehicle License Plate: The recording vehicle's plate ($\text{34 PBB 426}$) is clearly displayed in a specific box/font style.
  2. Advanced ADAS Data: It shows real-time distance measurements (e.g., $3.3 \text{ m}$ or $5.6 \text{ m}$) for the Forward Collision Warning system.
I am trying to identify which dashcam brand, model, or accompanying software/app allows users to add their own customized license plate text (an overlay) directly onto the video recording, especially when paired with detailed ADAS metrics like these.

It seems like it might be an integrated system, perhaps an OEM camera linked to an Android head unit, or a professional fleet management solution.

Can anyone identify the brand or software responsible for this particular style of license plate and ADAS overlay?

Thanks in advance for your technical expertise!

Following the link in the Instagram post, it appears to be "Expotech CR57DVR" posted by a Turkish company Yaman https://www.instagram.com/yamanelektroniktr/

However the Expotech website for the CR57DVR does not suggest any ADAS or licence plate capture ability

The ADAS info and licence plate overlay appear to be applied after capture, either in a phone app or by a remote server.

@delarmo can you let us know what the Turkish text in the video below is saying?

Thanks for the clarification!

Yes, that makes sense — the dual-camera system provides good quality, but the extremely clear license plates and the distance measurements are definitely coming from the app after the footage is processed, not directly from the camera itself. No wonder I couldn’t figure it out by looking only at the raw video output.

Interestingly, most of the comments under the post were linking to different DDPAI models, so I thought it might be one of those. You managed to identify the source much more accurately — great catch, and thanks for pointing it out!
