I've bought the mini 0806 a couple of months ago, 2 home brand sd cards from a local shop but it only uses one (tho setting is set to ''Auto'') and as soon it's full it stops recording sometimes instead of overwriting. It also stops recording sometimes while i've plenty of space yet or only makes clips of 22 seconds. Anything i can do?

My guess with the info you gave is that it is having problems with the cards. If both cards are exactly the same brand, odds are it will not make a difference if you switch them. I would recommend you try a card mentioned here as one likely to be most compatible such as the Samsung Pro Plus (this is where I purchased mine from - www.ebay.com/itm/181989879642?). If it still does not help, you then know it is not likely the card and probably the unit. I can't honestly say mine was perfect but in 5 or 6 weeks, I have seen one '3 beep' / stop recording. Under that condition, I just power off, power back on and move on.

(some say it may help to reformat, reformat as ExFat with a special free utility and some even suggest plugging it into the unit versus the base may help, though I have not personally understood that benefit).

thanks, i will try with a couple of other (smaller) cards from my phone, will work down the list from there and see how it goes.

Just be aware that many other popular/well known cards will not work IMHO such as Sandisk and the Samsung EVO ( though some here say they do). Unless you know in fact that the card works in the long term, then if you troubleshoot with it and get the same result, then the conclusions could still be inconclusive.
