The effect of the low contrast does depend on the lighting conditions, on a cloudy day there is a lot less effect than on a sunny day.

As i said before, the camera works like Low Contrast + WDR are set to OFF.

Which video player you are using? Maybe the player have gamma correction (I've it in Windows Media player, so video have stronger contrast than it in Quicktime player).
