I think the important thing is that the camera generates heat internally and it is necessary for it to get rid of that heat, black is good for that because it radiates more heat and a transparent housing that lets that radiated heat out is also good. A black housing is going to radiate a lot of heat onto the camera - in the wrong direction. So although a transparent housing will work like a greenhouse, I think it is probably still the best for the camera not to overheat.

I wonder if anyone has done a test to find which is really the best?

What is your white ballance setting? If you use auto, try to switch it to fixed one (daylight), also different metering mode can help (average instead of center)
I switching all my cameras almost all time into daylight WB - of course, you do not need to care about WB if you are taking photos in RAW...
Fixed (daylight) WB is from my point view essential especially for golden hour and blue hour time, because auto tends to correct colors too much..

Personally i also prefer at least -1/3EV, to try avoid burntout sky and cloud, but this is tricky on devices like this with small sensor and low dynamic range, so you need to decide what is worse for you - burntout light or more noisy dark areas after some color recovering in postprocessing...

Adding filters for those wide lenses is also tricky, especially polarizer, and you need some expensive one with good antireflection coating made from good optic glass or you make image worse and more soften with lot of reflections and strange artifacts. You need bigger one for this wide lens (58mm) to avoid vigneting and good ones are expensive as hell...

I still think that Git2 does good job considering sensor size and pixel density..
 
I have a gopro 3 black housing, Chest mounted, git2 well i have used it here were it is around 22 celcius. Sunny day. Works fine. You can order a transparent backdoor with opening, so the heat can leave that way, but then, its not fully Waterproof.
 
What I have heard black clothing its the best way for heat dissipation - thats why it is used by many native peoples around the world in hot environment. I would assume that the effect is the same with casing where transparent or white case will lead to poorer heat emission/dissipation ratio. Casing material and surface structure will probably contribute the most to the equation, cf. radiators in non-vacuum environment.

i know it gets plenty hot in afghanistan, but i live in texas, where it also gets quite hot. right now at 9:40am, it's already 30c with a heat index (temperature + humidity and wind = "feels like") of 37c. forecast high is 34c, heat index of 41c. today is a COOL day because there's rain in the forecast this afternoon. for the rest of the week, the forecast is highs of 36-38c, with LOWS around 24-26c.

i try to avoid wearing dark colors when i go outside for more than a few minutes. when doing things like mowing the yard or working on a car, i always wear light colors like gray or beige. i also have a hat that is similar to a baseball cap, except that it has an extra-long brim and a sort of "curtain" of thin material that hangs down to provide shade for the sides and back of my neck. this hat is also light beige in color.

wearing black in the heat makes no sense to me. black absorbs infrared radiation (which the sun gives us plenty of), and white reflects it.

well they're easy to take apart so you could paint it yourself if you were so inclined... the git1 comes completely clear from its case, but the git2 wifi antenna is soldered rather than socketed (not sure why) so you'd have to mask off the internals, but it would still be pretty easy to paint. and since the ring around teh camera comes off separately, you could get fancy and paint it a different color if you wanted. i'd keep the lens ring black though just so it doesn't reflect any colored light into the edges of the lens.
 
You would be better off fitting a heat shield on the front to prevent sunlight directly reaching the camera. Given that sunlight isn't directly reaching the camera, a black camera is always going to be cooler than a white one.

I would assume that a housing made of material with good heat conductivity like aluminium would give the best results when there is enough airflow for heat transfer, and the actual colour would be secondary factor. Maybe reflective outer surface and black inner surface would be the best combination.

Regarding the color, we have prepared the 3 different color version, but due to no enough sensor in stock now, so haven't started the production.

It is Git2, of course the color is different compared to SJCAM.

I think Gitup did understand, unless I also didn't understand you?

I think he means that there will be 3 different colours of Git2, and none of them will be copies of SJCAM camera colours because Gitup does not just copy other manufacturers, they design their own Gitup cameras.

Except that I expect one will still be black...

Yes, the color is not similar as SJCAM use.

Regarding the Git2 design, of course is not the original idea, make a gopro factor so it will be compatible with GoPro case.
But before, most of action cameras manufacture can not make it so small, you can check the SJ4000 internal structure to know more.
And our future camera will make difference.
