3D shooting with Git2?

Hi, new to the forum although I've been browsing as a guest since I got my Git2 in January (which I love!)

has anyone tried shooting 3D with 2 git 2 cameras, or any other camera pairs for that matter?

I'm looking at purchasing a second git2 but humming and haying whether to go for it or not and being able to make 3D video might swing it.

Would a mount like this work?

it might, but it will be hard to get the cameras perfectly aligned. make sure you turn OFF gyro as well - the two cameras may not compensate the same for any motion they see/feel, which would cause some serious disorientation for the viewer, esp if they're using a VR headset.
