412GW File protection?

(Pre-purchase question)
When pressing the File Protect button, does it protect only the ONE file, as it is not always a good time (safe) to do this ?
If it happens to move to the next file, before being pressed, the wrong file will be protected. The dashcam I'm using at the moment, protects the activated file, and files before and after, knowing the footage required has been captured.
Is this feature on this model ? Thank you....

For those of you who were interested, Tiffany kindly replied to an email I sent.


The 412GW has an ABC file protect system: this means if the button is pressed in the first 3rd then the previous and current file are protected, if the button is pressed in the middle 3rd then only that current file is protected, finally if the button is pressed in the final 3rd the current and next file is protected.
