Hello to the Hive
I am thinking about the 622GW package but I have a problem with the rearview cam.
The trouble is that I drive a sports car with a soft top and the rear screen is plastic and can cloud over time. I doubt that the rear cam will see clearly through it and thought about a cam outside hidden in the reg plate recess. Is the rear cam for inside only or is there one I can buy that is compatible with nextbase.
Thanks

Phil.

I have the 622W. It's virtually impossible to read number plates of recordings.
As for the rear view camera. There is a camera that attaches to the body of the body of the main forward facing camera.

I have a 622GW with rear camera and have no issues reading number plates.

Thank you. I’m going to get this with the plug in cabin rearview cam as I drive a convertible with plastic rear screen so can’t have a cam in the back window.

It may be worth getting the plug in rear view camera (it looks similar to the cabin view camera, but has a wider field of vision).
I have attached the Nextbase link

I can’t attach it to the plastic rear screen so no choice but to get the cabin model. I might try to convert it to be able to fit externally and weatherproof and fit by the reg plate.

This is a screenshot of video footage from my 622GW, showing a number plate.

No. The stability control is off. I record at a resolution of 4K at 30FPS. My rear camera is set to record at 1080p if I remember correctly.

That is pretty good, I’m looking at getting the package with the 256mb card so I’m not sure if I have to have it switched on. Someone mentioned with the 256 viewing on the cam screen was terrible so used his laptop and it was perfect that way.

I use a SanDisk Extreme Pro 256gb card (the red and black one). Never had an issue.
I tend not to view video on the dashcam itself. It's easier to view it on a PC through the MyNextbase player.
I have the dual files, stability mode, and Extreme Weather Mode all switched off. My dashcam is also not linked to my phone. I tend not to use the fancy 'Extras'. I'm interested in recording my trip in the event of an incident.

Thank you so much for all this info, it’s made a big decision in what I’m going to do.
The package I’m going for direct from nextbase has the 256 card but none in stock so I can’t buy it yet.

Why not buy the 622 from Nextbase and a SD card somewhere else?
