70mai hardwire

Hi All, I have 70mai a810 dual and up04 hardwire module. As my fusebox is in the boot, the cable is not long enough, so I decided to use the provided usb cable for 12v socket. To connect them both I used usbc to usb converter (please see photo attached). I connected everything as it should be, but camera doesn't switch on when the ignition is on. I can only switch it on manually or by resetting up04 module. Camera still says "parking surveillance cable not connected".
I tried everything and all looks good. The only thing I can think of is, are the cables for the 12v socket and the cable for hardwiring the same (do they have same number of cores)? Can I connect them with the usb converter?
