I had a funny experience earlier today.
Upon entering town the highway ( 1 lane each direction ) become 2 lanes for a while, but as i was going left 1/2 mile up ahead i just hugged the left lane, and mind you doing 65 in a 60 km/h zone.
But this was not good enough for the BMW EV suv behind me so it overtook me on the Right, gained some 50 yards there and then pulled into the L lane as it too was going left in the same place i was.
Anyway i turned left and headed towards the town center, where the road also turn to 2 lanes in each direction, and right after it had done that i caught up with another little car in the L lane hugging it, BUT !!!! only doing 25 km/h in a 50 zone.
So slow the train bus ( train bus = busses that pick up the slack for trains not running ) behind me flashed its lights like the world was going to end, and mind you was also very close to me, so i indicated right and passed the slow car ( which is OK according to the law as i am passing a slower car on the right and not overtaking )
Again i was hugging the L lane CUZ again 1/2 mile after the road turn to 2 lanes, it turn to 4 lanes / 2 turn lanes in each direction as it end in a T intersection.
Now at night you could easy keep R and then just move over when you get closer, but in the daytime due to traffic and Danes not at all wanting to let you change lane no matter how much you indicate, well you be wise to get into the Left lane as soon as you can.
Also due to the traffic level it make sense to fill both lanes as on the last mile or so of thes toad during rush hour cyclists easy overtake you.
Rush hour have this piece of road being one long queue of cars, 1 - 2 miles back from the T intersection.
So i got a taste of the BMWs medicine 🙂
Really i am not a stickler for the keep right law, CUZ had i been doing that with the BMW earlier it would just have broken the law and overtake me even if the law say you can not break the speed limit while overtaking.
The law also say if you are driving slow and you create a line of cars behind, you you must pull over and let people pass you, something Danish farmers in 30 km/h tractors are not at all good at.
