Hello to everyone and especially to VIOFO matter experts.
I just bought the A139 pro 1CH model . I am filming 2 days now , with a kingston u10 v3 card 256GB.
I had some expectations from a dash cam .
1. A better video quality from a smartphone
2. the parking mode to work when plugged to the smoking power adapter. The smoking plug has power even when ignition off. It never switches to parking mode .
3. I was expecting the parking mode to be intelligent . for example to be able to be in time lapse mode and when something happens like hit , or shake of the g sensor , to switch to normal recording buffered or not buffered.
4. I was expecting when connecting to the smartphone to have all the alerts and notifications for the time when parking mode was active .

I cant seem to find any of these in this device . I am kind of let down . And I cant seem to find a reviewer on youtube , mentioning , what are the drawbacks of each firm? Why ?

Am I missing something ? I mean these are intuitive functionalities to be expecting., I mean common sense , when buying one of the most expensive units in the market , with supposedly the best video quality and functionality.

Can you please upload the sample footage from the A139 Pro so we can see what you're talking about.

The file is 400 MB for 1 minute , what is the upload limit for the attachment ? Cant seem to work. Too large .

All the informations about what can and what cannot this dashcam do, or how is it works were available on this forum and on the Viofo website, before you bought it.
I don't understand the logic of your "expectations".

Use an upload website like dropbox, to share an raw sample, and maybe a sample of your much better quality 1080p phone video.

Parking mode should work if you have always on power on your cigarrete socket, but you have to enable it.
You may want to set a timer from the app, if you don't want to ruine the car battery. An hardwire parking mode kit would prevent this also and generally, all dashcams needs hardwire kit to work properly in parking mode.

Most people here will want to see the raw file, but YouTube will be good enough to get an idea of any issues.
Make sure you have settings correct, and allow the video to render in 4K.
Here is an example;

Your replies are not helpful whatsoever. Making comparisons among dashcams functionalities and the drawbacks or differences ,would be a nice point to mention in the reviews on you tube. Tons of advertising / marketing,
Its not straight forward . Nothing is. Not until you have it in your hands.`
Anyways. The smartphone is the samsung flip 3 in 4k 30fps. the bit rate is ~~ 50mbps on samsung . Please explain to which of my points you are referring when answering , so that we can make a descent conversation, if that is indeed your objective .

what do you mean ? The manual is not helping on this one. You mean enabling it each time I park? or? Anyways , its good to know in which of my points you are referring .Thanks

You enable parking mode in the app, under the camera settings, and set the type of parking mode you want. You also need to make sure the GPS mount is free to get a GPS signal (ie not blocked by anything). Parking mode will come on after 5 mins, and go back to normal recording once you start moving.

As for the comparison to a smart phone, I think most people will agree that dashcam camera's still seem to be a bit slow on the quality side of things, BUT, a dashcam needs to operate continuously for hours at a time, and capture license plates and detail in any weather, and any lighting conditions, whilst moving fast, and working in extreme temperature ranges. Most, if not all, smartphone cameras would not be capable of this.

Here is an example;
I am not a youtuber , I will share some videos via a link in gdrive, the gdpr laws in EU are very strict . As you understand this is private data . I cant erase all the information in the videos regarding my GPS signal , or/and all other peoples faces cars licence plates etc . If you have a suggestion please , do suggest while the videos upload on Gdrive.

Of course not each time. One time set. Default setting is "off". Tap and change it with the desired option.
I think the app is very clear. You choose an option from the list. Most reliable is low bitrate setting.
You find in the user manual what does each option.

Well there are many times that you actually are inside a parking. No GPS signal means no parking mode when connected to always on power supply?

It would be nice to have someone answering all this questions in a video on youtube. The demand management thing. What could someone expect. Can you please reply to the points regarding the parking mode? Is it only one of the choices given ie lowbitrate, or timelapse or event ? Can you please reply to these points ? I cant find something in the manual. The manual should have been very detailed regarding all the different choices and the limitations of the choices or/and the different functionalities/capabilities.

Thank you for the information . Is it the same in other brands ? I cant seem to find a video on youtube regarding the parking mode differences among major brands. Is there one?
What about optical stabilizing , is there a video explaining what exists? which performs and which not? What are the limitations on the expectations?

Don't know if there are videos for that information.

A dashcam is build for evidence purpose, not for cinematic filming.
Sow, in just 1 minute of footage with speeds between 20 and 35 km/h it had managed a lot of license plates.
To compare with your 1000 € phone, wich you can't use it anyway as a dashcam, regardless of what some bull**** app it's gone tell you that you can, make the same trip with your phone and see how many number plates you can get.
