A329s/HK6 remote voltage check

Hello,

After many years of a119, I was looking for a remote way to know if the hardwire kit has cut off the power already and looks like the HK6 might be the answer. So now I got myself the a329s + hk6 and I am wondering:

1. The a329s has a wifi connection, it uses more power but its automatically turned off on parking mode so I cannot connect to it
2. The HK6 is a bluetooth device so I could connect to it. While it is discoverable by all of the bluetooth scanners, I cannot connect to it from my phone.

I would definitely prefer the option 2, but did anyone manage to connect to the HK6 from 3rd party device? Creating an app would not be an issue. I do have some other DIY ideas but would prefer to use what viofo offers
