I'm looking to buy a dual channel dashcam for a 2017 Camaro.
It has come down to 70Mai A800 SE vs Redtiger F7NP

I love the ADAS features of the 70mai and the voice commands but it seems like the Stravis 2 is a miss on this one and F7NP has Stravis 2.

What would the knowledgeable members recommend? Is the quality in the front camera sensor between the two worth it to go for F7NP over A800SE?

Any other cameras you'd recommend under $150 CAD?

Working with both products, the 70mai is a better overall camera.
On the box view.. RedTiger seems to have the edge out on the 70mai, but consider the following; F7NP uses Lithium Ion battery - basically fire hazard and unreliable long term. 4k? no, it's 2k blown up to 4k resolution. Suction cup mounting... first year it may be fine, but you may have to deal with the thing falling off your windshield and needing to reinstall it (yes minor, but very annoying).

70mai may not have the starvis 2, but it has true 4k which closes the gap between the two cameras in the image quality section. Uses a supercapacitor for battery source (safe in heat conditions unlike lithium ion). sticky pad mounting ^^. Installed one last week and they had changed the cable angles to look cleaner as well (not sure if all are updated to the new wiring, but I was happy to see it). This cam also withstands heat much better and much more reliable. ADAS is a nice to have... not always works, that's a toy feature really.

hope this helps,
- Alex (QC, MTL)
