AE pattern when camera flips

Just curious, does the AE centre weight pattern matrix (that does not have horizontal symmetry) flip together with the frame when we rotate (switch by menu) camera 180 degrees?

That is a good question!

I would expect that it inverts the operation of the sensor so that the rolling shutter still works downwards, in which case the answer would be yes, but if you have evidence that it doesn't...
