I installed a new Apline DVR-C320R to my Alpine Halo head unit which communicate with each other, however the rear camera doesn’t power on/connect to the head unit - When I turn the vehicle on it displays a black screen as if it was video feed, then turns off and says “Rear view camera: disconnected”. The cable is a 2.5mm 4 pole audio jack to a micro usb cable that connects to the camera and to the front loom. I’m curious as to if I can hardwire the connections, instead of having it connect via the 2.5mm jacks, just strip them and solder together. Or would there be any other way to test what the fault actually is? Could be the female side of the connector, male side or micro usb itself.
