AM Radio Noise

I have been experiencing the same with all fm radio too poor to listen to..

I simply pinched the 12v 5v 2a plug off an old sat nav and replaced the cheap one which i had already hardwired in...

Radio as good as new and as a bonus, its its got a 2a fuse on the side ..
 
Have another workaround:

After I received all Parts for hardwiring the Cam, my Car made the decision "where to connect it" very easy by developing some issues out of the category "think a new car might be cheaper than fixing this"... :-/

For now, I'm using a Plug-Multiplier, and moved the A118Powerplug "to the Rear" of my car; I also retrofitted all the cable with ferrit-cores (Port-Multiplier at connection-Point, A118 PowerPlug at connection point, and one "camera-side")...

This reduced the noise to an accepable limit, but it's still very unpleasant as a shilded Powerplug would have cost a few cent more and caused not a quarter of the problems... :-/
