This is one for @VIOFO-Support

It seems to be accepted that Android Auto & VIOFO dashcams are somewhat "incompatible".

When trying to access the cameras Wi-Fi Android Auto persistently tries to take over (all mentioned in a previous thread).

It there any likelihood of @VIOFO-Support resolving this issue?

When in the car (BMW G21) the Fold 7 auto connects to car for AA. If I want to connect to A329 I have to disconnect Wi-fi to car and select Viofo Wi-fi. It does connect first time, however the phone does keep wanting to reconnect to the car. It will try it best part of a dozen times before it gets the message I want to stay connected to cam. It's slightly annoying but for me not the end of the world as I rarely want to connect to the cam, it was more for when I first installed it to check it was working as I wanted.

I would say its more of an Android Auto/Android issue than Viofo.

Re-edited my post to make a bit more sense.

Having used BlackVue (who admittedly have many other issues) for many years, in many cars inc BMW, I can say from experience that I never had any connection problems relating to Android Auto & the dashcam.
One of the few things Bv got right.

To me, that points only one way.

We will check if we can find some cars supports Android Auto for this testing, the BMW we tested only support Apple Car Play.

Have you tried if you show the live view on the app with blackvue, will the Wi-Fi be forced to disconnect?

I agree with the OP it does seem to be incompatible. Whenever I want to connect to Viofo dashcam (A229 Plus) in the car over the dashcam WiFi, I need to unplug the USB Android Auto dongle from the USB port to enable a connection with the Viofo dashcam.
