Stumbled across this forum after looking for something that would take films of my journeys/holidays which didn't involve me attaching my palm-held HD videocam to the windscreen or parts of my car, Top Gear stylie.

A keen driver who currently has a small stable of three cars, Nissan X-Trail Aventura, a 4-litre supercharged Jaguar XJR (x308) and a 4.2 litre kitcar in the spirit of the Jaguar XK150 called an Aristocat, the dashcam seemed to me to be the best option, but I didn't realise until researching the subject, what a minefield finding the right one could become.

After much deliberation and thanks partly to this forum and one other, I've chosen and ordered the Mini DVR 0801 from Alibaba today.

I think the wait until it arrives is going to seem a very long one.....

The item still hadn't arrived after 10 weeks so I cancelled the order...

After further research, now deciding to go for the Powerucc Panorama S....
