20140630-very close call.
The silver car should have waited as there was not enough time to turn left.
The pickup had to brake hard to avoid a collision since the car slowed down and couldn't clear the lane fast enough over the curb.
Even I had to slow down. Thankfully, the pickup didn't change lane.
