Bad night time rear footage and constant recording in parking mode

Can anybody help me with the settings needed to fix my camera issues? The first issue is rear footage at night. It's terrible pic below. The lines you can see move up and down the screen when footage is played.



This only happens at night. During the day the footage looks like this:



The second issue is with the parking mode. I have the g sensor set to low and motion detection set to low yet it seems that my camera is recording constantly and locking the files. It's actually erasing driving files.

Any settings suggestions or firmware updates that could fix are appreciated. Camera is hard wired.

Is the firmware up to date? If not, I'd start there.
