Hey guys. I just ordered my Xiaomi Yi and i was wondering if someone can tell me for how long can it record a 108p/60 video before the battery dies and what will be the size of the video file. I am asking this because i intend to use the camera for my mountain bike rides which usually last around 3-4 hours so i want to know how many backup batteries should i carry as well as the size of the micro-sd card i will be using.

I get 60+ mins on 1080/60. And a 5 sec video is 16.9 MB

I get 1 hour and ~20min on 1080 30p (front leds off - continuous recording from 100% to 0%)

So judging from what you said i should probably need at least 2 extra batteries and a 64gb micro-sd should be enough.

What about the file size patrioti ?

Geia sou re Andrea !

Well it depends but it's around 1gb / 10minutes ( stock firmware/bitrate )

btw notice that Yi does not support 128gb SD cards. Only up to 64gb.

I have 32 GB SD card and power bank. In my case, the original battery is not enough (half day ride).

a few test:

1080p 60fps wifi on
64.23 minutes

1080p 60fps wifi off
73.12 minutes

2304x1296 30fps wifi off bitrate: 30Mb/s
79:42 minutes

That's perfect. What about the file size ?

Which mode do you use mate and how do you connect a power bank ?

Usualy 1080p 60fps. Often switched. Currently connect PB during breaks. Waiting for Protective Cover Case with back open.

Hi all, am new in here. just gotten mine last week.
was just testing out the battery life, so put it into the cover case, and use it as dash cam when i drive.
1st try was connected to phone via wifi, FHD, 60fps, battery completely flat when recording was abt 35min.
noticed that the footage recorded fogged up at both sides, 10 min into the recording, perhaps due to the heat of the camera.
2nd try was FHD, 60fps, but not connected via wifi, again, battery life is the same.
i'm already on the latest firmware(i guess, as i was prompted to update upon 1st connection via wifi).
is this battery life normal or is the battery is faulty, and also the fogging up of the video captured.
sorry for the lengthy post, just desperately needing some advice from the experts here.
thanks in advance.
