bitrate will effect how the amount of video clips you can fit on the microSD card(s) before recycling begins. (deleted oldest with newest file)
12Mbps or 15Mbps (higher = more detail, less compression blocks)

Brightness is for low light, will increase details. You can manually increase details levels on your computer as well though:

Neither one of these would affect battery / power draw.
