Sweet! all my hopes are on you, to fix the audio issues! Had a DR400 a long time ago, replaced it with a brand new DR600. Image is ok, but audio quality is really really poor. Vids from my 400 have workable audio, 600 is just noise...

Hope this is fixed soon, either by Pittasoft with new firmware (unlikely) or by the community here!

You don't really have a choice with the dr600 ;-) if you could test it and see with your experience what the propable issue is with the poor audio recording?

1. I travel constantly in front - Blackvue DR550GW-2CH (custom firmware 1.4), back - BlackVue DR3500-FHD (bitrate 13 mb|s)
2. To me the sound is not required, don't see the point to test.

Aha. I'm thinking maybe to change to dr3500 if that sound is better. Dr600 sound is useless right now...

It's the amount of data the cam can process per second. With blackvue this is very low normally, but in his custom firmware this is 20, very high!

I hope we get to see more of this very soon!

1.Reduced audio recording noise

I went out today with the updated firmware and yes it does appear to reduce the sound distortion however the I can still hear a slight distortion. What they appear to have done is just turned down the mic sensitivity and comparing the engine noise to a previous recording before I installed Ver1.001 it is much quieter now!

Audio bit rate 23kbps audio sample rate 8kHz, the Video bitrate is 9834kbps
