Hi guys. Any clues on this one. I just checked this dashcam on a second hand car purchased yesterday and discovered that it has a dashcam rear and front.
Front dashcam files are all just black. Rear camera is working, sort of ok (possible quality low is the mounting which is high on a rear window with heavy tinting etc)
Tried couple of other SD cards and same result. Tried FW updated which went ok and still same result.
Checked the internals, (what a technical achievement marvel this unit is) and the only sign of problem is the super caps block look shot, bulging. ie this is the 5.4V 7.5F (device looks like dual super caps in parallel). Cant see that stopping the camera though, can you?
Is there a same connection device that will work with existing cables and rear existing camera at minimalist cost and work? Or does it have to be a both camera swap out.
Appreciate any thoughts/comments. Edit: Or even a old unit you have replaced but unlikely if it still works its still in use!
