Blackvue DR970X Plus II & Elite 8 Series

It's sad to see Blackvue going backwards in quality and customer service, I absolutely loved their product before they started trying to take advantage of all of their customers instead of being focused on BEING THE BEST.

If only they could understand that BEING THE BEST will get you the sales and profits. The constant dropping out of the APP, confusing and inconsistent way to get your phone connected (especially when you have 5-6 Blackvue cameras because you've been a dedicated customer, which you suffer the most now for your loyalty).

DR970X-2CH Plus II (64GB) how about this!?

what different dr970x plus between plus 2

what different dr970x plus between plus 2

thx very much
and what different dr970x plus 2 between 970x box plus

An example of crazy pricing;
DR970X Plus Box version - 2ch in the UK
£629.95 for 64GB version or £729.95 got 256GB version
That's $857 for 64GB and $993 for 256GB version!

Quality and features wise - we need BlackVue and Viofo to get married and have beautiful babies.
Or Viofo to go out on their own with LTE access and leave BlackVue crying at home alone.
good let blackvu cry

I see the rear cable is different in another post but has anyone tested if the 2k rear camera can work with the non elite series?

I've not been able to test the 2K camera with a non-Elite model because I no longer have any other models.

I can confirm that the rear cable is interchangeable between devices so it's the same connection.
The only difference between the standard cable and the newer cable provided with the Elite is that it's just an upgraded cable that can transfer higher speed data and have less interference. This is for future proofing, and does not affect the 2K camera - which can still be used with the previous models rear cable (I currently have it set up using the older models cable because I don't want to re-route headlining cables unless necessary.

I've also wondered if the 2K camera would would with the DR970X Plus for example.

It's a shame nobody else has come forward on the forum who has an Elite 8 for more testing.

I have been very pleasantly surprised by the Elite 8 - it's an excellent dashcam, and the low power parking mode has been working great.

I'm hopeful that BlackVue will introduce a hybrid parking feature - but at the moment, I set the low power parking at night time and changed it over to time lapse during the day.
The good thing about BlackVue is that you can change settings for the camera in the app - even when the camera isn't connected to the cloud and you're not direct connected - and it will then update your chosen settings next time it connects to the Cloud - which is a great feature that no other dashcam has.
