BlackVue UK discontinuing Vodafone UK SIMs from 1st August 2024

Take the SD card out of the camera and into a PC or Mac.
Use the BlackVue software to view the SD Card and you can view the firmware settings for the camera through that software.
You can either edit the details to whatever you want, or RESET each settings tab, then save. This resets back to factory defaults for your particular camera.

Then put the SD card back in the camera and wait for it to load up..
Then you're good to go
I tried that matey I could not find camera settings anywhere apart from the actual config file. Where in the blackvue desktop app do I find camera settings all it kept showing me was the recordings viewer
 
In the SD Card Viewer - where you can see the recordings in the app.
Click on the COG icon in top right corner.
That's the settings for the camera based on the info on the SD card.

You can then go through the different tabs to change or reset each settings section.
Make sure to SAVE.

Ah ok, I’m 90% sure I checked that but I’m older than I used to be so maybe I missed it or something. I’m just heading out in the car so will try when I get back. Thank you. I appreciate the assistance. Have we settled on what UK network and sim work best?
 
Okay, so I’ve just bought a three Sim card data only. Activated it in the store. Got back to the car put it in the camera and camera is saying please activate Sim card. Is there any settings on the camera I have to change in order to get it to work.

Yes, you need to go on the phone app and set Cloud access.
It then pairs the SIM with the camera and works.

I am such a tool, didn’t realise there was a cloud connection method option, it’s been on WiFi. Working now. I feel sorry for all the staff at phone companies I’ve been calling asking for refunds as their sim didn’t work, it did it’s just me that’s too old to deal with technology anymore. Thank you for your help.
Also if anyone was curious, the SMARTY network option works on three UK SIM card
