BP100+A329S auto power off

I now have the BP100 paired with the A329S.

Is there an option to power off the BP100 automatically when the A329S is powered off either via geofencing or power button?

Currently I power off the BP100 manually after the A329S powers off via geofencing.

I also use a HK6 cable if that helps.

How long do you leave your car unattended after parking, and powering down A329S & BP100?
1.) 24 Hours
2.) 3-4 Days
3.) 1 Week
4.) 1 Month
Maybe we need to run a test to see what BP100 self-discharge rate is with A329S connected, but powered off.
Last I checked this draws approximately 7mA-11mA.

How come you did not use BP100 included Hardwire Output Cable (Type-C) 4 Meter?
And instead are using HK6.
It it because you already installed HK6 behind headliner & trim panel, and it's a hassle to swap out?
I may have a solution.
I just swapped out both my HK6's for the two BP100 units, and I was too lazy to swap out the entire cable, so I came up with a work around.

There is a BP100 power off button in the Viofo Dashcam app and the Viofo Battery app.
Not automatic but at least don't need to reach for the BP100 buttons.

As I'm retired the car can sit for anywhere from a day to a month. I generally walk to the shops if I need anything otherwise I can have it delivered.

I had the HK6 installed before I purchased the BP100. As I installed the BP100 myself I didn't want to go through the hassle (for me) of changing the HK6 cable.

I have used the app a couple of times. I also have the BT remote which I have configured one of the buttons to power off the A329S (being able to have the option for the BP100 for the other button would also be handy) if we're somewhere where I haven't configured it for geofencing e.g. at a friends farm in the country. Due to the firmware update wiping the current GPS data I find it rather tedious to setup for a place we visit a couple of times a year.

I’m impressed with the speed and detail response from VIOFO tech support to the ticket I raised.

Unfortunately they are not able to provide a solution to my query regarding automatic powering off of the BP100 after the A329S is powered off. It is not a show stopper as far as I’m concerned, just a nice to have. 🙂
