Broken car charger

Hi, I'm having a problem with my car charger. The piece holding the spring that pushes the silver tip broke off (i have the old version), I tried to fix it by gluing the spring but it hasn't worked. The charger randomly loses contact and the camera shuts off. The problem is that I'm in Argentina so I can't buy another charger here and is almost impossible to import one from another country.

So here comes my question, can I use a cell phone charger (i have this one) with a USB cable to power the camera without causing any problems?

It should work. I've used similar devices to power 4 cameras at once with no problems. No harm in trying it.

Should be OK as long as you use a good cable. Try to get a 24ga all-copper cable and avoid any "CCA" types as those break down over time. I used a 2-port 2.4A Anker adapter for about 3 years. Good stuff.
